Hi, Sam! thank you so, so much! I’ve been so excited by the support I’ve seen on this little excerpt of something or other. Perhaps we are all witnessing the way a novel comes into being—as a collective effort!
Ah! thank you. Christin! Thank you for reading, and thank you for the encouragement! My protagonist doesn’t have a name yet, but she and I both send our thanks!
Several months ago, when I first read your offerings, I commented that you should be writing fiction. I was right! Your story grabbed me and sucked me in. I want to learn more about these wonderful characters. Please make it happen
Hi Dan! it’s quite possible that it was your words, all those months ago, that first ignited some spark in me to look at these pages again. I’m so grateful for your long-standing support. I know these are difficult days for you. I continue to send you all my well wishes for healing, grace, and serenity.
I love your writing and am so happy when I see a new post! Today the shirt tucked through the belt loop was such a gorgeous and vivid detail that conjured up so much more about this boy and the place and the day he’d had, and the texture of the shirt… just incredible! Thanks so much!
Hi, Joanna! Thank you so much. I honestly really love that you noticed the shirt detail - that was brand new - although I had done very little revision before posting that week, that mini ER scene sort of flew at me at the last minute, and I went to bed that night after posting feeling so happy about the shirt being such a tangible detail to describe the brother’s caretaking. Thank you so much for noticing!
This is all so beautiful and moving, Francesca. I hadn't expected to learn so much about writing fiction and about an author I've read but not thought about in a long time, all before 6:30 in the morning. :-)
Hi, Kathryn! I always love seeing your name pop up here. Thanks so much for the note. I hope you / yours are finding ways to stay resilient and creative these days. And I hope both your research *and your creative writing is progressing these days. xo
Hi, Anna! Thank you! thank you! thank you! For reading, for your encouragement, for your willingness to support these characters and my own efforts on their behalf. I am so grateful!
My goodness! I totally agree with everyone else - more please! Love every character - have so much compassion and understanding for the brothers - even their sharing beer to the triplets at such young ages! Such amazing writing!
Oh, thanks, Beth! I hope the rest of their story does them justice! Alice McDermott could not have been any kinder. Really. She was gracious and generous and just overall wonderful. Sending big love!
I would very much like to read more of this story you have written!

Thank you, friend! Let’s see what comes next for them!
I look forward to the next installment, Francesca -- especially to having the two sisters actually get to touch and talk to each other!
Thank you!!!
Francesca!!! Love this piece! I definitely see so much potential in Multiples. I want to know more about all 6 of those siblings.
Compassionate narrator - love that concept.
And also love your connection with Alice McDermott🩷

I love your first installment! I hope you continue, I will enjoy reading it!! Cheers!
Ah, thank you, friend! You’re just the best. xo
